Gartner is forecasting greater level of disruption as AI and machine learning help process oceans of data.   

But it's easy to forget that there will always be people involved in business;  They're called "customers".  

Much of the rhetoric about big-data and analytics makes it sound like this technology exists only to squeeze more cash out of customers. 

The real promise of these new technologies is to help businesses recognise their customers, value them and provide better customer experiences in order to develop long-lasting, valuable relationships.
